Championing disability rights & inclusion in Abuja, Nigeria, and across Africa.
Inclusive Friends Association (IFA) is a leading woman-led non-profit organization based in Abuja, Nigeria, dedicated to championing the rights, inclusion, and participation of over 30 million Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) across Nigeria and Africa. Situated in the Wuye district, IFA employs a robust Advocacy, Research, and Training (ART) framework to drive positive systemic change. Their impactful initiatives include the "Access Nigeria" campaign, which significantly enhances PWD participation in electoral processes through evidence-based advocacy and voter education, leading to historic deployments like braille ballot guides. IFA also spearheads "Learning Together," sponsoring children with disabilities in both special and mainstream schools to foster integration, and "Making it Work," empowering women with disabilities against gender-based violence through economic empowerment programs like the "We Farm" initiative. With a strong focus on data-driven interventions and capacity building for individuals, partners, and government officials, IFA is a pivotal force in creating an equitable, fulfilled, and dignified life for PWDs in the Federal Capital Territory and beyond. Their commitment to an accessible and inclusive world is evident in their tireless efforts to influence national and subnational policies, ensuring that the voices of PWDs are amplified and their rights respected.
