The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Nigeria, established in 1964, is a leading non-governmental and non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, protecting, and preserving the rights of women and children in Nigeria. Located in Garki, Abuja, FIDA Nigeria leverages the expertise of women lawyers to provide free legal aid, advocate for policy changes, and raise awareness on critical issues such as gender-based violence (GBV) and access to justice. Our impactful projects include the Women Mandate Protection Project and campaigns for significant legislation like the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Bill. We actively engage with traditional and religious leaders to transform societal norms and empower women and girls across the nation. Join us in our mission to create a more equitable and just society in Nigeria.
