Nestled on the northeast corner of Mason’s historic square, Willow Creek Cafe & Club has been serving home‑cooked Texas comfort food since February 1999. Owner‑operator Angela Eckert, a lifelong Mason resident, grew up behind the counter of her mother’s Round‑Up Restaurant and brings that hands‑on tradition to every plate. The menu showcases classic American fare—flaky chicken fried steak, tender pork chops, and hearty chili—paired with the cafe’s signature homemade yeast rolls, buttery pies, and daily‑fresh baked desserts. Breakfast starts at 6 a.m. with eggs, biscuits, and freshly brewed coffee, while the cafe stays open until 10 p.m., offering late‑night tacos and a full bar. Adjacent to the dining room, the Willow Creek Club opened in 2014, featuring a 14‑foot bar adorned with more than 30 local Hill Country cattle brands. The club serves specialty cocktails, local wines, and craft beers in a relaxed, historic setting that still uses the original double‑door entrance from the early Model‑T dealership. Both the cafe and club welcome private parties and catering; bookings should be made two weeks in advance for events and a month ahead for catered meals.
