Founded in October 2015 by Zoe, Corky, Kris, and Alia Danch, this charming café has become a cornerstone of the community, offering a unique blend of history, hospitality, and exceptional coffee. The Danch family has deep roots in the property—Corky purchased the mill back in 1975 and renovated it to house shops and craftspeople before the building sat vacant for years due to eminent domain. The name 'The Moth' was chosen after the Luna moth, symbolizing new beginnings—a perfect metaphor for the revival of the beloved mill and the family's journey. The coffeehouse serves freshly brewed coffee and tea alongside an impressive selection of predominantly vegan baked goods made from scratch daily. Their special order cakes have become legendary, with flavors ranging from Vanilla and Chocolate to Banana Blueberry, Carrot, and the popular Hummingbird cake. Customers can choose from various icing options including Vanilla, Lemon, Espresso, Peanut Butter, and Cream Cheese.
