About
Teresa's Mosaic Cafe has been a treasured landmark on Tucson's westside for over four decades, bringing authentic Oaxacan Mexican cuisine to the desert city since 1984. Founders Teresa and Alfonso Matias, originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, opened their first tiny location on Speedway and Silverbell before moving to their current stunning location at 2456 North Silver Mosaic Drive. The restaurant now boasts impressive views of the city, a spacious dining room seating 120 guests, a full bar, and an elegant private event room. What truly sets Teresa's apart is their famous handmade tortillas, crafted fresh in the main dining room where guests can watch the tortilleras work their magic. The restaurant's breakfast menu has earned multiple Tucson Weekly Best of Tucson honors, and their legendary huevos rancheros famously defeated Bobby Flay on the Food Network's Throwdown. Other signature dishes include the rich and complex Oaxacan Chile Relleno, traditional menudo (a beloved weekend tradition), tender chimichangas, and guacamole prepared tableside in a traditional mortar. The cocktail program features creative Mexican-inspired drinks like the spicy La Gracie with habanero garnish and refreshing Paloma cocktails. Open Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 9 PM and Sunday 7 AM to 8 PM, Teresa's Mosaic welcomes walk-ins and reservations for parties of all sizes, offering catering services for events throughout Tucson.
