Tacos La Cabeza

Tacos La Cabeza is an authentic Mexican restaurant located at 6841 W. Northern Ave. in Glendale, Arizona, serving the Phoenix metro area with genuine Sonoran cuisine since 2019. Founded by the Rivera family, who first introduced Sonora-style hot dogs to the valley in 1997, this family-owned establishment has become a cornerstone of Mexican culinary tradition in the area. The restaurant specializes in their house specialty Tacos de Cabeza, made from head to tongue, along with burritos, quesadillas, and traditional Sonoran breakfast options. Tacos La Cabeza opened as a food cart in 2017, becoming the first cart approved by both the Department of Health and the city of Phoenix, before expanding into their current restaurant location in August 2019. The welcoming atmosphere captures the essence of Mexican hospitality, providing quality dishes that remind customers of home, especially those far from their native land. Open Monday through Saturday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tacos La Cabeza also operates two additional carreta locations in Phoenix for convenient access to their authentic menu throughout the valley.
