The restaurant's legacy traces back to Magdalena Enriquez, who created the original recipes with assistance from her Tia Lina, a chef who ran her own restaurant in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and Doña Georgina, who has been an outstanding chef at Susie's for over 30 years. The menu features classic dishes like menudo soup, mole enchiladas, Mexican steak with cheese enchilada, seafood soup, deep-fried burritos topped with guacamole and cheese, three sopes with choice of meat, and huevos rancheros. The chilaquiles in red sauce topped with cheese are particularly popular for breakfast. Diners consistently praise the green chile enchiladas as some of the best they've ever had, while the beans and rice are described as perfectly prepared. The restaurant offers dine-in, takeout, catering services, and even a food truck that serves Maricopa County. Open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Susie's welcomes families and community members with the same warmth that has defined it for generations.
