Sidetracked Brewery

Sidetracked Brewery is a beloved craft beer destination nestled in the heart of downtown Morganton, North Carolina, just past the bridge at the historic Morganton Depot. Founded in 2018 by Joseph and Jessica Ackerman, this family-owned brewery has become a cornerstone of the local community, offering handcrafted beers that range from classic world-class styles to fun and experimental brews. Joseph Ackerman, the passionate head brewer, previously worked for production breweries in North and South Carolina before pursuing his dream of owning a neighborhood taproom where he could connect directly with beer lovers. The cozy and vibrant atmosphere welcomes everyone, with free popcorn, a selection of games, and regular events that bring locals and visitors together. The taproom is notably kid-friendly and pet-friendly, creating a welcoming space for families and their four-legged companions. Sidetracked Brewery is part of the Morganton Station development, sharing the location with Buzze's Creamery and Green Street Grille. Open Monday through Thursday from 12pm to 10pm, Friday and Saturday until 11pm, and Sunday until 8pm, the brewery offers a relaxed environment where guests can enjoy excellent craft beers while soaking in the mountain-town charm of Morganton.
