Founded by Ilson Goncalves, a native of Santa Catarina, this charming restaurant recreates the homestyle cooking his mother prepared, particularly her legendary Feijoada served on Thursdays and perfected by Saturday. Unlike the typical churrascaria, Samba offers a refined yet approachable menu that showcases the lesser-known depths of Brazilian cuisine beyond Carnival and steak. The intimate space features rustic weathered decor, soft low lighting, and soothing Latin music that creates an enveloping warmth from the moment you enter. The kitchen serves a remarkable appetizer of warm multigrain bread paired with garlic and olive oil, alongside tempting fried pastries filled with chicken, cheese, or beef. Dinner service runs Monday through Thursday 5pm to 9:30pm, Friday and Saturday until 10pm, and Sunday 12pm to 8pm. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 12pm to 3pm, with weekend brunch available from 12pm to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
