The Roosevelt

The Roosevelt is a James Beard-nominated neighborhood restaurant housed in a beautiful turn-of-the-last-century building in Church Hill, Richmond's oldest neighborhood. Located on the traffic circle at 25th Street, M Street, and Jefferson Avenue at 623 North 25th Street, this acclaimed dining destination has been serving innovative Southern cuisine since opening in July 2011. Executive Chef Leah Branch, a James Beard Foundation Semifinalist for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic in 2026 and a Virginia native from Chesterfield, leads the kitchen with a passion for exploring regional Southern foodways. Her cooking has been featured in Garden & Gun, Eater, and the Cooking Channel's "Sugar Showdown." The menu offers an untraditional celebration of Southern food, complemented by a great wine list, hearty roster of regional beers, and craft cocktails that have earned multiple Elby awards for Best Cocktail Program.
