Renegade Room Restaurant

The Renegade Room Restaurant at Bakersfield College is a unique dining establishment operated entirely by students enrolled in the Foods and Nutrition Program. Located at 1801 Panorama Drive in the Family and Consumer Education building on the northeast corner of campus near Mt. Vernon Avenue and Panorama Drive, this restaurant provides hands-on training experiences for aspiring culinary professionals while serving the Bakersfield community. Diners can choose from three distinct dining experiences: Tuesday Night Fine Dining from 5:30 to 6:30 PM featuring elegant entrées like Grilled Shrimp, Pork Milanese, Lamb Chops, and Beef Bourguignon at $23 plus tax; Wednesday Lunch from 11:15 AM to 12:30 PM offering more casual options ranging from $4.50 to $15.95 including Croque Madame, Chicken Bahn Mi, and Tri-tip Sandwich; and Thursday Night Buffet from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at $24 plus tax with themed nights celebrating cuisines from New Orleans, German, Mexican, Basque, Italian, and many other traditions. The restaurant accepts reservations through OpenTable, and orders can be placed for both dine-in and to-go service. Payment methods include cash, personal check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
