Plant is food is a chef-driven vegan restaurant located at 165 Merrimon Avenue in the heart of Asheville, North Carolina. Since opening in 2011 under the ownership of Jason and his partners Leslie and Alan, this acclaimed restaurant has been recognized as one of the best vegan restaurants in the country. The kitchen creates flavor-sophisticated scratch-made dishes using thoughtfully chosen ingredients from the earth, reflecting multicultural influences that draw from vegetables, spices, and techniques from around the world. Whether you are vegan or not, the promise is that you will enjoy your experience. The dinner service runs Wednesday and Thursday from 5 PM to 9 PM, Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 10 PM, and Sunday from 5 PM to 9 PM, with the restaurant closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made through Resy. The team includes pastry chef Leah, sous chef Nate, and the incredible front-of-house staff led by super hostess Meghan.
