About
Pekadill's has been a beloved Whitehall, Michigan institution since 1983, when Pete and Kathy Wessel first opened the restaurant, naming it after their first names and their beloved dog, Dillon. The Dillivan Family purchased this charming establishment in 1989 and has continued its tradition of serving exceptional food with genuine Midwestern hospitality. Located at 503 S Mears Avenue in downtown Whitehall, Pekadill's offers an impressive menu featuring over 40 signature sandwiches that have become local favorites, including the legendary French Dip, the hearty Sueben, the delicate Chicken Salad Croissant, the classic BLT, and the vibrant Southwest Chicken Salad. The restaurant also serves freshly prepared soups daily, including Chicken Noodle, Cream of Potato, Tomato Basil, and hearty Chili. During summer months (Memorial Day through Labor Day), Pekadill's fires up the grill for their famous BBQ Ribs and Chicken every Friday and Saturday evening from 5pm to 9pm. The on-site ice cream parlor features over 25 flavors of Hudsonville and Ashby's ice cream, all made in Michigan, including dairy-free and no-sugar-added options, served in homemade waffle cones or old-fashioned shakes and malts. With a spacious pet-friendly garden, visitors are welcome to bring their furry friends on a leash. Open year-round for lunch and dinner, Pekadill's welcomes diners seven days a week during summer and weekdays during the off-season.
