Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Winery & Trattoria is a premier farm-to-table dining destination nestled in the heart of Cottonwood, Arizona's vibrant Verde Valley wine country. Located at 770 N Verde Heights Drive, this stunning restaurant sits adjacent to a 9,500 square-foot state-of-the-art winery production facility and is surrounded by a 4.5-acre vineyard featuring Graciano, Tempranillo, and Garnacha grape varieties. Under the direction of Chef Brett Vibber, the kitchen creates daily handmade pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and fresh breads using Arizona's renowned Hayden Mills flours. The menu showcases antipasti perfect for sharing, including chef's selections of cured meats and cheeses,truffle arancini, and grilled lamb lollipops with salsa macha. Their Il Orto section features produce grown in the on-site greenhouses, gardens, and orchards—true farm to table dining. The award-winning wines are produced by MJ Keenan, Jennifer Keenan, and Tim White from 110 acres of estate vineyards throughout Verde Valley. Guests can enjoy views of the barrel room, browse the bottle shop, and indulge in house-made gelato crafted by Chef Kelley E. Foy using local dairy and greenhouse-grown ingredients. Open daily for lunch and dinner with gelato service until 8pm on weekends.
