Josephine is an everyday French brasserie and bar nestled in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, bringing the timeless charm and culinary traditions of France to this historic neighborhood. Inspired by classic Parisian eateries, Josephine offers a menu that combines time-honored dishes including a broad range of salads, appetizers, and entrees alongside an extensive raw bar featuring the freshest seafood selections. The cuisine is perfectly complemented by a stellar selection of Champagne, old world wines, cocktails, and craft ales curated to transport guests to the streets of France. The multi-leveled space is sumptuous and warm, featuring antique millwork, vintage lighting including pendants that once hung in the Paris Metro, a large atrium dining room beneath a vaulted skylight, one of Old Town's classic bars, and a third-floor hideaway lounge called Bar Jo complete with a fireplace—perfect for champagne and cocktail lovers. An intimate courtyard seats 25 guests, offering al fresco dining in charming surroundings. Happy Hour runs Monday through Friday from 3 until 6pm at both Bar Jo and the downstairs bar, featuring six-dollar drafts, seven-dollar glasses of wine, and eight-dollar select cocktails. Josephine serves dinner Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11pm, lunch weekdays from 11am to 3pm, and brunch on weekends from 10am to 3pm.
