Injera Basket is a family-owned Ethiopian restaurant bringing the authentic flavors of Ethiopia to Woodinville and the greater Seattle metropolitan area. Specializing in traditional teff injera, the signature spongy flatbread that serves as both bread and utensil in Ethiopian dining, this restaurant offers a genuine taste of Ethiopian culinary heritage. The menu features an impressive array of classic dishes including Kitfo (Ethiopian steak tartare seasoned with mitmita spice), Shiro Wot (creamy chickpea stew with berbere), Lentil Stew (ምስር ወጥ), Beetroot Stew, Chicken Stew (ዶሮ ወጥ), and Kale with Beef Stew. All dishes are prepared using traditional Ethiopian spices like berbere, niter kibbeh (spiced clarified butter), and korarima. The restaurant sources high-quality ingredients including teff flour for their naturally gluten-free injera, fresh kale, cabbage, beetroot, and premium cuts of beef, chicken, and lamb. Open Wednesday through Sunday at both their Woodinville location (7am-2pm) and Lynnwood location (3pm-8pm), Injera Basket also offers cooking classes and pre-order meal services.
