Hunter's Brewing LLC stands as Chesterton's original craft brewery, proudly holding the title of the first brewery established in the Town of Chesterton when founders Amy Gentry and Justin Reisetter opened its doors on February 16, 2013. Now under the ownership of the Davies family since March 2021, Hunter's Brewing has become the oldest continuously operating brewery in Porter County, Indiana. The brewery offers an impressive selection of fine craft beers brewed on-site, alongside guest brews from other breweries and cideries around the world. The menu features delicious wood-fired personal pizzas including the Margherita, Pepperoni, Fig and Bacon, and the popular 'The GOAT' pizza with goat cheese, bacon, pepperoni and hot honey. Sandwich options range from the classic Cheese Toastie to the sophisticated Grown Up Grilled Cheese with fig jam and manchego. The venue hosts regular events including open mic nights every Thursday, trivia with Professor Kelly on alternating Fridays, and occasional painting classes, jewelry making workshops, and bingo nights. Family-friendly seating is available inside and on the patio, while the bar area remains 21+ only.
