About
Hometown Pizza, Pasta & Bakery has been a cornerstone of Oroville, Washington since 1991, serving the North Okanogan County community and visitors from British Columbia with authentic, homemade Italian-American cuisine. Currently owned and operated by Sarai Garfias, who took over in January 2022 after the retirement of founding owners John and Becky Desjardins, this family restaurant continues its three-decade tradition of quality and hospitality. The kitchen team remains largely unchanged, with Lupe managing the kitchen since 2002 and his brother Eddie cooking since 2012, ensuring the same recipes and consistent quality that loyal customers have loved for generations. The menu is impressively diverse, featuring hand-tossed pizzas with fresh ingredients, homemade pasta dishes served after 4 PM, savory calzones, juicy burgers, specialty subs, fresh wraps, and an extensive salad bar with house-made dressings. Morning visitors can enjoy breakfast sandwiches made to order, while the bakery section showcases the work of Athalia Garfias, Sarai's sister, who creates fresh bread, pastries, doughnuts, and specialty chocolates daily. The restaurant seats 75 guests and offers plentiful parking including side-street space for motorhomes and trailers. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM, with the dining room closing at 7:30 PM, Hometown Pizza welcomes dine-in guests and provides convenient take-out services. Beer and wine are available to complement your meal, and the restaurant accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover for payment.
