The Farmer's Table

The Farmer's Table is a beloved hometown restaurant located at 2001 South Scales Street in Reidsville, North Carolina, serving authentic homestyle country cooking that has delighted local residents and visitors for decades. Since current owners Janet, Brent, and Heather Barber took over on April 23, 2004, the restaurant has continued its proud tradition of serving food prepared the way mama and grandma used to cook it for generations. The restaurant's legendary breakfast plates feature piping hot homemade biscuits that customers rave about, made from recipes passed down through Janet Barber's family line. Her mother, Doris Hall, previously ran the acclaimed Country Kitchen in Reidsville and instilled in Janet all the secrets of traditional Southern home cooking. The lunch menu offers daily specials with a tempting variety of entrees and vegetables, including customer favorites like country style steak, tender baby back ribs, and juicy chicken slathered in the restaurant's signature homemade barbecue sauce. No meal is complete without sampling one of their delicious homemade desserts, which change daily and always satisfy that sweet tooth. The historic building itself has a fascinating past, originally opening as the Spaghetti House in the 1940s before becoming the Family Dining Room under Blue and Jetti Edwards for over 35 years. The Farmer's Table welcomes dine-in guests and offers convenient take-out service, plus catering for parties and special occasions. Open Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, closed weekends.
