El Taco Rústico is Tucson’s premier destination for authentic Mexican street food, crafted with passion by Chef Juan Almanza. After years of delighting crowds at the Tohono O’odham Swap with his unique flavors, Chef Juan brought his culinary vision to two convenient Tucson locations. The Park Avenue location at 1830 S. Park Ave. welcomes guests Sunday, Tuesday through Thursday from 11am to 8pm, and Friday and Saturday until 9pm, closed Mondays. The Oracle Road location operates Monday through Saturday from 7am to 9pm and Sundays until 8pm. Signature dishes include the famous Quesabirria, featuring classic Mexican stewed beef and melted cheese tucked into a crispy corn tortilla, available as a combo with rice and beans. The menu showcases an impressive array of meats including al pastor, carne asada, tripas, cabrito, costilla, cabeza, birria, and chicharrón. Don’t miss the Parrillada, a generous spread of three choice meats with fixings, perfect for sharing. Rojitos de Camaron and Rojitos de Mahi Mahi offer seafood lovers crispy tortillas filled with grilled shrimp or mahi mahi and cheese.
