About
Columbia River Country Store and Cafe, located in the charming town of Roosevelt, Washington, is a beloved destination known affectionately as "That Little Oasis" by locals and travelers alike. Situated just one mile from Roosevelt Park Recreation Area along the scenic Lewis and Clark Highway (Washington Highway 14), this family-owned establishment has been serving the community since 2002 when Rebecca Rogers and her brother purchased the store. In 2010, Rebecca and Ben Van Laar were married, and Rebecca became sole owner, adding the popular cafe to the existing general store. The cafe features a full breakfast menu served all day, including flame-grilled burgers, delicious wraps, and homemade soups that customers rave about. The store stocks everything from ice, cold beer, and soda to camping supplies, toiletries, bread, milk, canned goods, snacks, and novelty ice cream. With easy on/off access and spacious parking for big rigs and RVs, it's a favorite stop for travelers and cyclists who return year after year. The consistent quality of products, first-class service, and affordable prices keep customers coming back, often bypassing other restaurants in favor of this little place with great food. A major remodel in 2015 enhanced the facility while maintaining its welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. Summer hours (May-September) see the store open 8 AM to 7 PM and cafe 8 AM to 6 PM, while winter hours (October-April) operate from 9 AM to 6 PM for the store and 9 AM to 5 PM for the cafe.
