Grotten Food & Snacks

Grotten Food & Snacks, nestled in the vibrant heart of Halden's Torvet, is your ultimate destination for delicious street food, refreshing ice cream, and convenient kiosk essentials. Renowned as Halden's largest ice cream bar, we offer an extensive array of frozen delights, from classic softis to indulgent milkshakes and frappes, perfect for any sweet craving. But our culinary journey doesn't stop there. We proudly serve what locals affectionately call "Halden's national dish": our legendary homemade meatloaf (kjøttpudding) with rich brown sauce, mashed potatoes, pea stew, and lingonberries. This traditional favorite, crafted from scratch, has delighted generations. Our menu also features hearty street food like juicy burgers, savory gyros, and classic Norwegian pølser, all prepared with care and quality ingredients. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite, enjoying a leisurely meal, or picking up treats, Grotten Food & Snacks provides a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. We also offer easy online ordering for pickup or delivery through Foodora and Wolt, making it simple to enjoy our flavors at home or for your business lunch needs.
