Women Empowerment Education and Peace Building Initiative

The Women Empowerment Education and Peace Building Initiative (WEPBI) is a dynamic non-profit organization based in Enugu, Nigeria, committed to fostering sustainable development through empowering women and girls. Founded in 2016, WEPBI actively addresses humanitarian needs at local and regional levels, with a global perspective. Our core mission involves working with women and girls to ensure their participation in all decision-making processes that advance their rights. We envision an equitable society where everyone enjoys their rights, irrespective of gender or creed. WEPBI's thematic areas include peacebuilding and conflict resolution, good governance, and women's rights/economic empowerment. A significant milestone includes paving the way for 137 women in traditional leadership roles in Enugu State, challenging deep-seated taboos. We utilize research-oriented approaches to guide impactful initiatives, providing leadership capacity and economic empowerment to enable women to contribute to national development.
