Cinnamon Hill Great House

Step into Jamaica's musical history at Cinnamon Hill, the legendary home of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. This 18th-century estate, built in 1734 by Edward Barrett, has been a witness to Jamaica's rich cultural tapestry. The interior is frozen in time with family photos, a crocodile Johnny helped catch, and even a pair of Johnny's well-worn work boots. The estate features island architecture, furnishings, native flowers, and iridescent hummingbirds, capturing the spirit of the man in black. Guided tours last 45 minutes and include a nature walk and the option for a Witches Brew cocktail. The tour is weather permitting and not recommended for those with physical limitations. Open Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, tickets are $25 USD for adults and $10 USD for children aged 4-11. Located on Rose Hall Road in Montego Bay, this historic site offers a unique blend of music, history, and nature, making it a must-visit for music lovers and history enthusiasts alike.
