We were excited for the tasting menu at Yü, especially given the fine dining promise and premium price point — but sadly, it didn’t meet expectations. The miso soup resembled a simple chicken broth, lacking depth. The cauliflower popcorn was soft rather than crispy, though the teriyaki glaze was a highlight. The pork pancake was bland, and the uramaki, while pleasant, felt dry. A 35-minute wait for the final main completely broke the flow — and strangely, there was no dessert or sweet course to finish. For the cost, we expected something more refined and memorable. Disappointing overall, so I wouldn’t recommend.
