INTERSOS Maiduguri is a leading humanitarian organization dedicated to providing life-saving assistance and protection to communities affected by the ongoing conflict in North-East Nigeria, particularly in Borno State. Our interventions address critical needs across multiple sectors, including protection, health, nutrition, water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), shelter, and food security. We focus on supporting vulnerable populations, especially women and children, who bear the brunt of the crisis. Our work in Maiduguri and surrounding areas includes providing psychosocial support to survivors of gender-based violence, delivering essential maternal and child health services, implementing vaccination campaigns, and screening children for severe acute malnutrition. We also work to improve access to clean water and sanitation, distribute essential relief items, and enhance food security through cash transfers and supplementary feeding programs. By establishing solar-powered lights in camps and host communities, we enhance safety and dignity.
