The Gender and Environmental Risk Reduction Initiative (GERI) is a dedicated non-profit organization based in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. Founded in 2009, GERI focuses on empowering women, youth, and vulnerable groups by addressing environmental challenges such as climate change, sanitation, and sustainable livelihoods. Through community-based projects, education, and advocacy, GERI promotes gender equity and resilience against environmental risks. Located in the High Level area of Makurdi, GERI actively collaborates with local and international partners to foster sustainable development and social justice in Nigeria.
